Chickens in the Basement

I love to write and I love to laugh. When I write, I get to the point quick. My stories would fit on the back of a postcard. They usually make me chuckle. And you know what they say, "It's all about me!"

Perks of the Job...

Look who came to the USO of North Carolina RDU Center today!

He is my favorite politico! Wonder what it would take to convince Colin Powell to run for President?

He took time to pose with a couple of star-struck Marines...

before heading off to the RBC Center for a motivational speech.

I love my job!

Duh moment...I forgot to have someone take a picture of me with Colin Powell!

He's got too much sense to run for office, unfortunately.

Aw. At least you got to meet him. :)

Cool! Mike's dad is a retired blackhawk pilot. He once flew Colin Powell. Or excorted the other chopper he was in. I forget. But it's cool both ways. How could you forget to get a pic of yourself with him! DUH!

He was just on 'The View" today and I couldn't help but think the same thing about him being president. He seems to be such a good man.

I'm so glad you are enjoying your job Anna - I can't imagine anyone doing it better, or with more laughs!!

Missing seeing you though. Do you know Vanessa and I open our booth in the new addition this weekend? Well at least we'll start setting up and hope it will be open for business. We haven't a clue as to what we'll be able to fit in, just going to play it by ear until we become seasoned shopkeepers, ha!
ha!

Hugs - Mary

Stopping by from A Diva's Garden. I'm a huge fan of Colin Powell too. Heard him speak at a Motivational Seminar last year. Loves his grandchildren. It was wonderful.
