Chickens in the Basement

I love to write and I love to laugh. When I write, I get to the point quick. My stories would fit on the back of a postcard. They usually make me chuckle. And you know what they say, "It's all about me!"

Chinese, Cheesecake and Cats, Woohoo!

Tonight, we got together with my mom and niece to celebrate April birthdays...
Will, Rick and Mom. We meet in the middle between Wake Forest and Nashville in Bunn. The choice is pizza or Chinese. Both are take-out restaurants with a couple of tables in them. We had Chinese tonight. Yum!

We had a great view of the Family Dollar from the restaurant!
My cute niece, Erica, brought cheesecake for dessert. My dorky boy goofed up this photo!

Mom is a cat lady. Her cat, Samson, hates me! Take a cat to the vet just one time and he never forgets! If I walk behind him, he lets out one of those low, guttural growls. If I scratch him on his head, he swings one of his de-clawed (thank God) paws at me and hits hard enough to leave a bruise. Actually, I think the only person Samson likes is Mom.

For her birthday, Mom got three well behaved, non-growling, no shedding, vintage McCoy kitty planters!
With sedums and cactuses in place as tales, I think they are awfully cute!

Although, this one is slightly obscene.

And, instead of a tail, this one seems to be spraying green leaves towards the coffee pot.
Good thing Mom's brain doesn't reside in the gutter like her daughter's...until she reads my blog!

Hi, In reply to my Wisteria Post I have a Wisteria tree in white, 1 in lilac and a huge vine - don't wear heels - no pugs, not my rugs and I do have a mini daschund that just ate a dead mole my cat killed and I had to do a rescue on her (I'm a high school nurse) it was stuck in her throat! Out it popped - lucky dog - gross! Not my rug either. Jennifer jennsthreegraces

Those cats are too funny! I know your mom must have loved them:) And don't think your mind's in the gutter. I thought the exact same things when I looked at the pictures!
Sorry if I haven't been able to leave comments lately- I have a really slow computer at work (which we're trying to fix) and when I come home I don't feel like being in front of the computer! So, Im just now catching up on things... Hope you are well. And hope my computer speeds up so I can read everyone's blogs.
Talk with you soon-
Love, Stacey

Pretty cute kitty planters, but I think it must have been "Mr. McCoy" whose mind was in the gutter! ha ha! Happy Birthday to the clan!

Oh God, I'm still laughing!! Those cat planters look like they're blowing tremendous farts (and painful ones at that!) Now I must find one for myself!!

LOL! I have always wondered what plants would look like in those little planters!

Ain't it the truth about taking a cat to the vet. When my husband and I got our first cat, I had to take her to the vet for her initial checkup 2 days after getting her. She was white-hot mad and never liked me after that. :(
