Chickens in the Basement

I love to write and I love to laugh. When I write, I get to the point quick. My stories would fit on the back of a postcard. They usually make me chuckle. And you know what they say, "It's all about me!"

Paper Play

I promise this is the last post about the auction. These are the paper goods I got in a box. The plates are a little dirty. I definitely would not eat off of them. But they are too cute to chunk! What would you do with them?

This Santa is just sweet!

Valentine's Day is represented, too!

And let's not forget Halloween! Don't you love the square ones?

Moving on to party time...

Party hats with visors? Keeps the glare of candles out of your eyes!

I wish I was Speedy Gonzales! I'm a plodder. If I try to be Speedy, I usually make a mess or break something!
Should I toss these in the trash? Send them to somebody who can use them? Make cake? Hmmmmm!

Send them to your beautiful model from a few posts ago...hehehe! I usually use pretty paper plates like that to decorate. I would put the Santa one standing up in a display on my mantel or shelf! That vintage strawberry short cake one is great and the square Halloween you should sell, or again with that model..LOL!

Oh, you know there is no way you could ever throw those cute little plates in the trash! You're such a tease! Those are the most adorable little things...how to use them? Display them for the holidays using table top easels. Or tuck them behind a pretty in a curio cabinet. Get out a Christmas tree for year round decoration (I do!) and use one as a tree topper. The possibilities are endless, but you're talented...you'll find a unique way yo use them!

I think you should wipe them off with a moist rag, and use them in a giveaway! (wiht multipule winners naturally ;) ) I like the sort of creepy yellow and pink clown hats and the Mickey Mouse plates!

Very cool! Yes either display them, or if you are like me and have far too much holiday stuff, display them on big baskets.

I have the laundry-type baskets made out of wicker (Mom had a bunch of these to display her dolls in) and I put all kinds of vintage goodies in them to display. Just carry, place, and wha-la! Done! Then you put them away for the next year. =)

OH my! You have so many goodies. I don't have any idea what you could do with the plates, but bet there is someone out there that collects them. I'm loving the idea of the hankies added to a gift. I just bought some cotton hankies 3 to the package for a dollar each. I wanted to make them into butterflies for a quilt but cant find the pattern. I am going to research it! Have a great weekend.

You could frame them, or put them under clear glass plates and that way could eat off of them. They are so cute and vintage I know you won't toss them!!!

Those are so cool. Not sure what I would do with them but would probably not throw them out. Someone, somewhere surely can use them or has some sort of collection that would be more complete with them.

A giveaway (or trade) would be fun.
You could have bloggers post on their blog what they would be willing to trade you for those paper products and pick the one you like most.

God Bless,
Julie
