Chickens in the Basement

I love to write and I love to laugh. When I write, I get to the point quick. My stories would fit on the back of a postcard. They usually make me chuckle. And you know what they say, "It's all about me!"

Snow, Snow, Go Away!

Look what was in our yard this morning!
Riley Dog caught snowflakes on his tongue!
The chickens weren't buried this time!

Then hen house looked pretty, even with the insulation covering the window.
Another day spent in the hen house and chicken run. The boys' dangly parts tend to get frost bite, so staying close to the house is safer for them.

Can you see the yellow bloom on the left side of the photo. It's just waiting to bust out!

This isn't our pine tree burning. It's a Christmas tree. Neighbor Mary hosts a Christmas tree burning every year. It's amazing how quickly these trees flame up and the amount of heat they put out. The fire also helped chase the remaining snow away! Fortunately, most of the snow was gone by the end of the day. Don't come back another day!

My neighbor burns his Christmas tree in his back...alas our tree is plastic because last time we had a real tree the cat climbed it and the dog peed on it!!!

I too have had enough snow here in the south this week to last me for several more years.

That's a pretty cute hen house, even in the snow.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Riley Dog is adorable!

I wish I could have bonfires outside, but in the city, they frown on that. Besides, if I could, I'd burn down the neighbors house, and I really need not go to jail. So I'll live vicariously through you. Light another one!!! Bwahahahaaha!!
