Chickens in the Basement

I love to write and I love to laugh. When I write, I get to the point quick. My stories would fit on the back of a postcard. They usually make me chuckle. And you know what they say, "It's all about me!"

The Fifth Day of Christmas

On the fifth day of Christmas, my Swappers mailed to me five ornaments for my tree!

These were the first two swaps I ever participated in. One was based in the US, the other in England!

Who knew how fun and addictive blog swaps can be? I have had the best time creating ornaments for folks I've never met. All I had was links to their blogs, a couple of ideas about their favorite things, and a date to have them in the mail by!

These were sent to me.

I hope this beautiful snowflake is the only one I see this winter!

And God putting a star atop a Christmas tree is the epitome of the season!

Love the music background on this pretty ornament!

More music...I have joy, joy, joy in my heart!

This pretty felt poinsettia really draws your eye!

I sent these to my swap buddies...

I might have to make one of these for myself! I wound up using vintage buttons on all of the ornaments I sent to Swap Partners. To make your on, go here.

This owl banner was a fun project. In case you can't read it, each owl has a letter on its tummy and spells out Merry Christmas.

Here's a close-up of one. If you want to make your own, visit here.

Some of these went off to a second swap partner. The rest are presents for teachers!

The pattern has three different shapes!

And birds, I could have a whole tree of these! I have put a huge dent in my stash of vintage buttons!

Joy to the World!
